Just like the others. Went to a presentation and promised a "free" cruise, we just pay taxes, port fees. There are only a few months that I can go so we found one we can go. I called only to be told that the inside state room is $1,600 for 2 of us. I told her I was confused that this was supposed to be a free cruise. She said, to get the free one is a super basic state room with a bunk bed and you can't go on the dates you want because they are limited and can't go to an "exotic" destination. So there are only 2 for 2024, either we fly out to California from Florida or go out of Miami which is smack dab in the middle where I cannot go. So at the end, it was a total waste of our time driving 2 hours to go to this presentation. By the way, their packages are a total scam too.

I would highly recommend not going through this company for their vacation destination products. They have integrity issues and the worst customer service ever! I had received a free vacation destination package via a Timeshare promotion sponsored by FantaSea Resorts Flagship in Atlantic City. When I went to book my Trip through Gocrv (Customer Service Network Group) as directed by the package instructions I had to put down a deposit of $240 which was very unexpected. After putting my deposit down via their website I was instructed to call a reservation specialist to book my trip. I attempted to get in touch with them for about 2 weeks without any success. I was never able to get in contact with them because no one ever answered the phone despite being on hold and hearing an automated message for 2+ hours. It's very disappointing and unethical to deal with companies that claim to offer products but never actually does.

Sat through the timeshare BS and then sat through an additional hour of people trying to get me to purchase the timeshare. The company delays by only providing off-peak travel dates and requiring you to keep paying to extend the certificate and pay to upgrade everything until your certificate expires and then they don’t refund your money. Total scam.

This company should be stopped for what they are doing to the travel industry. They bait you in with promises of grandeur like Las Vegas, Cancun, but hides the fact that you’ll stay at Roach Coach motels unless you “upgrade” to ridiculously high priced facilities which would be considerably less if you booked directly with the vendors. I bought my Timeshare through Spinnaker in SC, and this was supposed to be incentives to buy, but I highly recommend they distance themselves from GoCrv, as they are swindlers and charlatans. I already know a refund of my monies for the three certificates will not be reimbursed, but I’m writing to prevent others from getting misled.

They will offer you bunk beds you need to pay more to upgrade. It is easier and cheaper to book with the cruise line directly. I attended a timeshare in San Antonio and got the hotel free. That was fun but the cruise was a scam.

We too fell for the time share nonsense that is nothing but a lot of hype about what they can provide, but the bottom line they prey on those that do not ask questions. Hidden fees are customary and promoted by this group. It is by no strange surprise that they pick the bottom of the barrel employees. I called to make reservations for the so called free trip. From the get go, the representative was extremely rude. Half way through the call I had enough and politely asked for a Supervisor.

I was told that they could not get a supervisor on the phone nor was I able to hold for one to pick up the call. I was then told that someone would call me back. I have yet to receive that call. I called the corporate number and now have the name of the President of the company and the Executive Vice President. I will be writing a letter to them and to the Better Business Bureau. Deceptive practices are common for this group and do not expect to get any assistance from their call center. I was able to locate their Facebook group page where they high five themselves on a spectacular numbers (likely taking money from the unsuspecting and naive). I encourage you all to post there and to Better Business bureau your experiences. I will NEVER do any business with this group ever again.

I continuously gave dates for different areas of the United States but Gocrv - timeshare vacations could not accommodate any of them. So they extended my end date and we went through the same process of no availability for dates again. They attempted to extend again. I said no, send me a refund. I received an email stating that I would receive the refund within 2 weeks. Called Gocrv on 10/14 at the customer service number and received an automated voice asking for my certificate number. I gave my certificate number six times and the automated voice hung up on me six times.

Found another number at the Better Business Bureau and called it and stated my issue to the customer service person. The customer service person had an attitude and told me I would receive my refund in 14 to 21 days when the email specifically said within 2 weeks (14 days). Then on top of that you pay them with a card and they send you a paper check (antiqued). The customer service person then informed me he would pass along the issue with the automated number. Not convinced that will happen. Sadly that number is the number they give out to contact them for everything. What a joke!

On top of all of this every option that you get for vacations are rated 3 or below. My advice is if you're contacted by Sundance (GOCRV) saying you will get a free vacation if you listen to a timeshare spill, DON'T DO IT! WASTE OF TIME! VERY, VERY, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! Then they hold on to your money that should be refunded as long as they can to gain interest is my guess.

I paid my hundred bucks in fees to register. I gave them my three dates of chosen time and when it came down to it they couldn’t do any of my time and they gave me during the week. Not the weekend dates that I gave them and after 10 minutes on the phone waiting for them to tell me the only days they can book was during the week at a Howard Johnson. Cheap scam. Will never agree to anything with this company again or any company that offers gocrv vacations.

If you get one of these "free gift" presentations in the mail throw it in the trash. Despite my intuition and natural resistance to dispose of this junk, I listened to my wife just to go to the presentation. The advertisem*nt is for free 2 night stay, a $50 gift card, then $150 spending toward trip. Well, once you sit through the presentation which wasn't too bad, you get your "voucher" to redeem your "free" hotel... not free, we ended up paying a $50 deposit, plus an additional $64 for "fees" for a hotel that we could have gotten for $40 per night. The $50 gift card is redeemable between a 17 day window that you have to claim roughly a month out from vacation.

The delivery timeframe for the gift card is 7-10 days... we are going on 13 days with no gift card yet. The $150 spending money is a reimbursem*nt, and must be spent DURING the trip and you are only allowed to submit TWO receipts. So I have to spend a large amount of money on two separate transactions then hope to get my reimbursem*nt within a 6 week period... yeah right, not counting on that if I haven't even received $50 gift card which is basically a REIMBURsem*nT for my own money spent. Biggest waste of time and money I have thrown a way in a while! Don't do it.

I was invited to attend a presentation in which they try selling you a very expensive timeshare. Note: they say it’s not a timeshare, it is!! Then they offer you “free gifts” for attending regardless whether you buy in or not. The “gift” are not free. It is a scam. I had to pay a deposit of $89 refundable. Note: it’s refundable ONLY IF YOU DON'T USE IT. Scam on steroids. Then they charge “taxes, booking fees, etc” the representative was “unable to give me the breakdown” of all the fees.

How do I know if a travel website is legit? ›

You should also Google the agency's website to make sure it's legitimate. Book your travel on websites that the IATA accredits. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) maintains a database of verified travel websites. Only book travel with websites or companies that are IATA-accredited.

Can I get a better deal with a travel agent? ›

Because of their connections in the industry, travel agents often have access to lower prices on hotels, cruises and package tours that equal or better the prices of online discount sites. And a good agent will steer you toward the best choices for your trip, regardless of the type of commission they earn.

Is it better to book direct or through travel agent? ›

Not necessarily. Travel companies may treat you better when you book directly — of course they will if they're saving a 40 percent commission — but there's also a bigger picture. Online agencies are an essential part of the travel ecosystem, because they allow easy price comparisons across a range of businesses.
